Hello,
I write and illustrate humorous ideas.
I've helped companies make award winning success of their advertising campaigns, greeting card ranges and design and publishing projects.
I am happy to adapt my writing and drawing to fit the humour style required.
The hardest bit about this sort of thing is finding someone who can do it. Well now you've found me. So while you're here, have a look around, keep my details handy and give me a call next time you want to add some humour or make something that little bit funnier.
By the way,
I also do
graphic design & web design.
The right idea in the right place can be a huge success. Even though your garden wall weighs 11 tonnes, and is difficult to carry out through the house in one piece, someone will pay you £208,100 for it and do just that if it's got one of Banksy's witty artworks on it.
People love humour. It's 70% of the stuff that's shared on social networks, it's the heart of the worlds best ads, and it's in the top 2 of what you look for in a partner. Oh, and you can't live without it.
A great idea expressed as a cartoon or humorous illustration devised especially for your project is a brilliant way of getting humour to work for you, and it wont cost £208,100 or weigh 11 tonnes.

Your website or advertising has been a bit lonely recently, so you've decided to write an ad for it in the lonely hearts column. So how do you describe it, honestly?
"Mediocre, humourless, character free, unexception, with fondness for sofa, seeks wealthy funsters for regular liaisons, perhaps more. Sense of humour not necessary"
Not going to get many takers is it.
Give it some humour, some character, some cleverness.
Add a hair do, bit of slap, a nice dress and some Jimmy Choos to match, in the shape of a cartoon or two, and some new best friends are going to take notice and realise your site is good fun to be with, and well worth showing off to their friends.

Tomorrow you have to stand up in front of 2.4 billion people and say something about your business that will give such a good first impression that they will remember you over the 350 million other speakers, and you have to do it without using humour. That's what most websites try and do. 2.4 billion is the number of web users on the planet and 350 million is the number of websites on the net jostling your website for attention.
The smart minded would be thinking they need to look good and use some wit to win over the crowd by starting off with a nice and appropriate joke. Whether it's a best man speech, an acceptance speech or business address, if you're in front of an audience, looking good isn't enough you need to get and keep their interest with some humour.
A humorous illustration will do this for your advertising or website.
A thought through, witty artwork created to add impact and character, and set a humorous tone to a design will give a meaningful first impression even before a word has been read.

I have a degree in Graphic Design, from 1985, worked in London and Cardiff before becoming freelance full time. I specialise in cartooning, humorous light and bouncy graphic design, HTML5/CSS3 web design, and copy writing.
I am as comfortable wearing my big design jobs thinking hat, for ideas, concepts and artworks for promotional print and web, as I am in my small job bear trappers work hat, for single artworks and Photoshop work.
I use the very latest web standards, and the very latest adobe and mac software and hardware, my low overheads, long experience and laid-back, ego free attitude allows me to provide buyers with the best possible return for their budget while exceeding their expectations, and keeping them tuned into the latest software developments.
I have worked directly with large companies, creating, designing and art working many things from award winning greeting card ranges and award winning advertising and promotional campaigns, to smaller jobs like pocket cartoon gags, book illustrations, logos, and Photoshop work all with a light hearted and professional humorous appeal that helps work stand out from the crowd.

It’s my job to inspire you with some great original ideas, devised and designed specifically for you. So please contact me with your project details.
Based on the details you provide and my research into your sector of the market, I will produce some visuals of ideas and layouts. All ideas will be original and not copied.
These will be sent to you via email. At this stage I will also be able to give you an estimate for the finished work.
The visuals will not be the finished products, but something for us to discuss for further development. Tell me what you think and suggest any changes you may require. Then I'll prepare and send more visuals. We'll keep doing this until you are happy to proceed to finished artwork.
Once you are happy with a visual, I will work on the finished artwork, then send you a
low resolution, watermarked copy of it to make sure you're happy with the work. Later changes can be made free of charge to digital works, but a charge may be incurred on pen & ink works. Finished artworks will be sent via email for small files, wetransfer.com for large files or on DVD for any size files, or via post for a pen & ink artwork.
For new buyers a non-returnable deposit is required after the initial visuals have been sent but before the final artwork is started, to cover work done and to commit to further work. A low res, watermarked version of the finished artwork will be sent and a final payment will be required before the full high resolution, un-watermarked artwork is supplied.
Copyright is passed to the buyer once the payment has been made in full.
Long pauses in the development process are sometimes caused by requests for information from the buyer going unanswered. This can mean stopping work on the project and may incur a fee on restart.
